A testimonial about the value Felix adds
It was 2011 when I first started speaking with Felix. Neither of us knew each other prior in any capacity but we both seemed to recognize that the other was quite resolute and to a purpose.
In my case it was my writing, and providing services like web development. In Felix’s case it was something else.
I had no real reason to be interested in his strategies, but I realized as he spoke that there was something very noble about his goal. His intentions were to protect innocent people from the bad things that happen, that could easily have been prevented with the right understanding.
The right plan.
Who is responsible when something bad happens that could have been prevented?
Nobody wants to imagine it could be them, and that’s normal. We don’t want to be people who should have done something differently either but our regrets tend to become magnified when a responsibility is implied after a terrible thing happens.
Felix is a keen observer of the chains of events and behaviors that precede episodes of workplace violence. He makes no bones about what environments prompt aggression. He doesn’t attempt to satisfy a false sense of security.
What a person can learn about workplace violence prevention simply by associating with Felix, becomes evident as I state that I have not in fact needed his service yet. Rather through our many discussions and discourses I have come to understand something fundamentally genuine about how he approaches solutions, and how he identifies problems.
So why would I write a testimonial about it?
In early 2012 Felix and I were discussing scenarios that included changing the physical layout of safe zones in a factory to enable people to take cover, (in the event of a hostile action by a gunman.)
We both discussed this for quite some time when I decidedly added, “It would be nice if there were something installed in the ceiling that could neutralize the threat with non-lethal tech as people enter these zones, in the event of an emergency.”
Felix recognized that my thoughts on this were somewhat worth pondering as a future project perhaps, but to not lose sight of the immediate need for a real time working solution he brought us squarely back to the real scenario.
That’s just one of his gifts, he takes the gravity of the events that can unfold in the blink of an eye far more seriously than he does any novelty solution.
I personally like novelty, but Felix deals in reality on a daily basis. He doesn’t contrive solutions. He uses what works, and I’ve watched him weigh out exactly what measure of prevention, action, education, and decision would fit each scenario.
All while protecting the identity, and privacy of his clients.
That seems like the best reason to offer a testimonial. I’ve come to respect the way Felix does what he does, and the value he adds to every relationship he forges.
Thank you for your time,
